Has anybody done this swap, or know if it's possible? I'm wondering if they are a simple bolt on, or if this swap would be prohibitively expensive (aside from the wheels cost that is). The five spoke wheels would look great on my '94.

I've done that... Simple bolt on solution for the front... And yes, the ABS III sensor ring will work on an ABS II bike... They have the same number of "teeth"... The rear is different, however, as the brake disk on the R1150RS is mounted on the wheel, not the final drive as it is on our bikes... Fortunately, the K1200RS and K1200LT rear wheels are the same, and they have final drive mounted brake disks too... So, you need a front from an R1150RS, R1150RT, or R1150R [All of those have front drive speedometers], and a rear from a K1200RS or K1200LT... Very expensive if you buy all new though... I'd suggest going to the K1200RS site and seeing if you can scrounge up a used 5.0" wide rear wheel there from somebody who has upgraded to the 5.5" wide hoop... Then the other sites for a front that may have been bent and replaced by insurance... I've repaired bent fronts quite a few times, and have a machine for that purpose, and there are several places that fix bent wheels, so no worries there... What you probably will not be able to find are the used brake disks and ABS II sensor ring... That will be your biggest expense if you go the pre-owned route...
