Just put a new clutch kit in--$275 from chicago bmw. While riding home bike just quit. I could tell fuel pump wasn't working. Took it out and hooked it up to battery and could tell the impeller was froze. I beat it , reversed polarity and everything else but it was frozen. The pickup screen was torn also. I called chicago bmw and they wanted $177 for the pump and $26 for the screen. Got pump and screen for $60 at autozone. Just took my bmw pump there and found the nearest match. It sounds just like the $200 one and does fine. will see. It has a lifetime warranty. The bmw one has none. (Edited by scottfarm at 6:38 am on May 23, 2004)

NAPA part # 74095. Autozone or Advanced Auto can crossreference it. It fits a 4 cylinder mustang, I don't know which year. It's not an exact fit but can be installed. Mine is working fine. I read about it on the ibmwr site. A guy put this pump in a K1100 and put 30K on it with no problems.
